We're hiring a content-first marketer
This is a content-first digital marketing role. We care far more about what
you can make than what's on your CV. So lead with your work — the videos, posts, pages and
campaigns you're proud of — and show us how you think.
The one thing we actually want to see
Pick any one Solenco channel and tell us one thing you'd change and why — max 150 words
(or paste a link to a 60-second video). This matters more than everything else on this form.
Solenco is a South African importer and distributor of home-comfort appliances — we
represent Meaco and Mill alongside our own
Solenco and Solenco Life brands. This role is content-first
and social-led day to day, but you'll be accountable for commercial results, not just
engagement. We run AI-driven marketing systems that handle the reporting, so you can focus
on the creative work and the judgement calls that matter.
What you'll own
- Social media strategy & hands-on content — Reels, TikTok, Shorts, product demos, copy. You make the content, not just manage it.
- Paid advertising — Meta, Google, Takealot, Amazon — training on our systems provided. You'll grow into this over time.
- E-commerce & marketplace content — listings, imagery briefs, product descriptions across Shopify and retail partners.
- Influencer & creator partnerships — finding, briefing, and running collaborations end-to-end.
- Measuring what drives revenue — not vanity metrics. We'll show you the tools; you bring the curiosity.
What we're looking for
- Strong content creation and short-form video — you know what makes something worth watching.
- Sharp copywriting — clear, specific, human.
- Comfortable on camera and behind it.
- Genuinely fluent with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) in your day-to-day work — not just aware of them.
- Organised and independent — you manage your own priorities without being chased.
- Commercially curious — you want to know what actually moved the needle and why.
- Paid-media experience is a plus, but not a requirement — we'll train the right person.
Hybrid — Cape Town or Gqeberha (PE) office, plus remote · Full-time, permanent · Market-related.
